  Went today after a popular critic gave a review. Found the place to be very basic but clean. The smell of smoke greets you at the door and will linger on your clothes for hours after you've left. We shared the 3 meat platter that came with beans. We got the brisket, ribs and chicken all were presented on a tray covered in butcher's paper. The brisket had a wicked smoke ring and smelled good, looked dry and that was confirmed on first taste. The ribs were side ribs so watch out for cartilage and they were way over cooked as it was like jerky on a bone. The chicken was the best cooked but was dry and the skin was rubbery. We also got an order of the cornbread which is way over priced for what you get so buyer beware. Overall it was not a great experience, I will try again I a couple of months and see how that goes.

  Amazing service.
  I took my parents here when they came to visit from New Brunswick. The owner came to our table with samples of the smoked bologna and made sure all our orders were perfect.
  That kind of personal service is rare to find!
  
  The meat was flavorful and juicy and I would definitely recommend the Smoked Cheddar Bacon Potatoes, they're to die for!
  
  I will definitely be back again!

  Thought the food was fantastic. The BBQ sauces were very tasty and ranged from sweet to hot and spicy. Local beer is served which I liked. We were given a free dessert which was very good. The service was excellent! The young man who helped us was very good at answering all our questions and he was super professional. We will be back for sure. Loved it.

  Ordered for pick-up, and got exactly what I ordered, exactly when I said I'd pick it up. That alone is a good sign, but the food was great too. I had ribs, chicken, and brisket, with cornbread, beans, and slaw. All of it was good. Beans are a little sweeter than I'm used to, but still good, and full of big chunks of bacon. The ribs are awesome, super meaty, and not "fall off the bone". They're smoked, the meat should be sticking to the bone a little. Cornbread was soft, fluffy, moist and with a little hint of jalapeno. I think the real winner is the chicken though. Delicious, don't even need sauce. Good food, good service, good price. Just what the area needed.

  A great place for a warm sunny afternoon. We sat outside on one of the numerous picnic tables. Though the tables inside looked great, we didn't prefer the exaggerated height. This place has the makings for something special. A great layout outside of the city. Only thing is management has to be mindful of the reviews they're getting. Meats had great flavour but like others, we thought they were overdone and on the dry side. We had the beans and smoked potatoes as sides which were stellar. Prices were on par, wouldn't want them to get any higher. Look forward to going back - on a sunny afternoon !
